WHAT A MAINE AESTHETICIAN LICENSE MEANS
In Maine, aestheticians are licensed by the state. A license shows that the practitioner has completed the required training and that they work under state standards for sanitation, safety and scope of practice when caring for skin.
That matters for skin and lash services because they involve products and tools used close to the eyes and on the face. Clean tools, careful product choices and knowing when a treatment is not right for someone are part of the job.
Continuing education
Beyond the license, I take additional courses in the treatments I offer, such as lash extensions, brow lamination, dermaplaning and microcurrent. Those certificates are shown here alongside the licenses. A certificate records training in a technique; the state license is what permits the work.
HOW I USE THAT TRAINING IN AN APPOINTMENT
A license is not a promise that the same service suits everybody. Before I begin, I ask about sensitivities, current products and anything that has changed since your last visit. If a product or technique is not a good fit on that day, I would rather pause and talk through a different appointment than proceed without the right information. If you have reacted to a lash product or tint before, tell me before booking so I can discuss whether a patch test is appropriate with you.
I keep the workspace and reusable tools clean between appointments and use single use supplies where they are called for. You are welcome to ask what I am using and why. The documents above let you see both my Maine aesthetician license and the individual courses behind some of the services I offer. Training records show what I studied; a consultation is where I learn what is relevant to your own skin, lashes or brows.
