WHAT DOES AN ON SET MAKEUP ARTIST DO?
Camera ready makeup and grooming for men and women. Skin prep first, then shine control so foreheads and scalps do not catch the light, an HD and 4K safe complexion that holds under LEDs, redness and shaving irritation evened out. Makeup only. When a job needs hair as well, I can bring in a trusted hair stylist.
Once you are rolling I stay close by, watching faces on the monitor, and step in for touch ups between takes. If the shoot changes locations, I can stay with the production when that is part of the booking. Nobody should look different in the first shot and the last one.

HOW DOES A PRODUCTION DAY WORK?
I arrive at call time and set up my kit wherever you have room. During takes I stand by off camera, then step in for touch ups when you break. I stay through wrap.
Most shoot days run about ten hours. If the schedule is running long just tell me and we will sort it out on the day.
WHERE DO YOU TRAVEL FOR PRODUCTION WORK?
On location anywhere in Maine and New Hampshire, with Massachusetts and Vermont by request. Travel is quoted per production. Overnights are handled case by case.
The studio is inside Tucci & Co Salon, 1065 Sabattus St, Lewiston, ME 04240, and studio hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Shoot days are booked around them.
WHAT DOES A PRODUCTION DAY COST?
The day rate and travel are quoted per production based on the shoot details, the location, the number of people on camera and the expected day length. Send me the date, location, approximate schedule and number of people on camera and I will quote the job within one business day.
WHAT IS IN YOUR KIT?
A full makeup kit for men and women, with HD and 4K safe products across a wide range of skin tones, plus skin prep and grooming essentials. Blotting papers and a small touch up kit stay with me all day, so a shine fix takes seconds instead of a walk back to the makeup room.

What a production day looks like
I arrive at call time, set up a clean station close to the set and work through the talent in the order the schedule needs. Once everyone is camera ready I stay nearby for the rest of the day.
What I ask from the crew
Please send the call sheet, the number of people on camera and the order they are needed. A table, a chair, a power outlet and some natural or even light make setup quick. Let me know about wardrobe colors and any allergies ahead of time.
Working under LED lights
LED panels and high resolution cameras show texture and shine clearly. I keep the base thin and even, control shine where it gathers, and check faces on the monitor so the skin reads naturally on screen.
Touch ups through the day
Between takes I step in for powder, blotting and small fixes so everyone looks the same from the first shot to the last.
WHAT TO SEND BEFORE CALL TIME
Send the call sheet when it is ready, or share the location, call time, talent count and first camera time if the schedule is still changing. If people are arriving in waves, I need to know who appears first, not only how many faces are in the day. Please flag any look changes, outdoor scenes or locations with limited space for a makeup station. I can then discuss the practical setup and the day rate and travel quote for that production.
During filming I check for shine where the lights catch it, lipstick that has shifted after a meal and consistency between shots that are meant to match. I step in between takes when the crew is ready for me, rather than interrupting a shot. For still photography I also pay attention to the distance of the frame, because a close face needs a gentler hand than a wider scene. I do makeup only. When a job needs hair as well, I can bring in a trusted hair stylist.
