HOW DO YOU PLAN MAKEUP FOR A LARGE BRIDAL PARTY?
I can certainly accommodate a large party myself, and I bring in a team if needed. A large party depends on order much more than speed. Before the wedding I build a schedule with a set time for each person, so everyone knows when to sit down and nobody is left guessing. Bridesmaid makeup, maid of honor makeup and makeup for moms or guests all get the same approach: a short conversation about the look each person wants before I start, and the look they ask for is the look they get. The last person in the chair gets the same care as the first.
HOW DOES THE MORNING WORK WITH A LARGE BRIDAL PARTY?
An early start
A large party means the first person sits down early in the morning, and I arrive before that to set up my light, my kit and a clean workspace wherever there is an outlet and a little room.
A planned time for each person
A few weeks before the wedding I ask for your final head count, names and ready time, then send back a timeline that shows who sits when. Sharing it with the group ahead of time is the easiest way to keep the morning calm.
Your timing built around photos
I work backward from when your photographer needs you, so your makeup is finished fresh and close to your first pictures rather than hours ahead of them.
Touch ups before photos
Once the whole party is done, I go back through the group for a final check and touch ups, so everyone looks finished and even when the camera comes out.
